Katrina Kaif was born on July 16, 1983, and is an Indian actress. Her mother's surname is Turquotte, and she was born in Hong Kong. She is the youngest of seven siblings, with three younger sisters, three elder sisters, and one younger brother.
Her mother raised her and her siblings, while her father didn't spend much time with them during their upbringing. Her father is a British businessman, and her mother is a lawyer and charity worker from the United Kingdom. Her father is a Muslim, whereas her mother is a Christian. She and her brothers were homeschooled by a series of tutors due to their constant moving from one place to another. She has been modelling since she was a teenager.
She was recognised by a movie director while modelling, and her quest to becoming a Bollywood actress began from there.
Katrina Kaif was fourteen years old when she won a beauty pageant in Hawaii. Following that, she began to receive other modelling tasks, which she completed to the best of her ability. A London-based filmmaker, Kaizad Gustad, took notice of her and cast her in his film Boom (2003). She appeared alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Gulshan Grover, Jackie Shroff, Madhu Sapre, and Padma Lakshmi in this film. This film was a flop, and Katrina doesn't consider it to be her work.
She built a great modelling career in India and opted to stay in the country to pursue her dreams. Her inadequate mastery of the Hindi language caused her a lot of difficulty at initially, but she was subsequently cast in Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya? (2005). She appeared opposite Salman Khan, Sushmita Sen, and Sohail Khan in this film.
In Humko Deewana Kar Gaye, she collaborated with Akshay Kumar (2006). Namastey London (2007) was a career-defining film for her in the Bollywood industry. It was, she claims, the first time she had a dominant role. She appeared in the films Partner and Welcome in 2007.
These films were both financially successful. Race(2008), in which she co-starred with Saif Ali Khan, Bipasha Basu, and Akshay Khanna, was a box office hit.Singh is King (2008), Yuvraaj (2008), New York (2009), Rajneeti (2010), Zindagi na milegi Dobara (2011), and a few others were among her financially successful films.
For her film Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?, Katrina Kaif won the Stardust Award for Breakthrough Performance. She has yet to win a Filmfare award.
